Offered here (in .pdf and .puz formats) as a supplement to the NYT puzzle of Thurs, 6-14-12, this Madison/Beckman production was rejected by Will Shortz because he felt it was "sort of an old trick now." Keep in mind, it's utterly unedited. Enjoy (or not, I guess).

Very fun puzzle, Rex. Yes, a little tough. But the cluing wasn't bad at all. And the results were worth the effort.
