In November, 20 Barnes & Noble stores across America will host a puzzle night sponsored by Puzzlewright, the puzzle book publisher that employs Peter Gordon and Patrick Blindauer and that is owned by B&N. Peter asked me to emcee the Chicago event, so I hope to see some of you there.
Peter writes, “There will be group games as well as a crossword and sudoku contest. No preregistration is needed and it’s free. Just show up at the store at the time indicated. Eight books will be awarded as prizes at each store. And everyone gets a Puzzlewright Press pencil!” The events will last about an hour. Here are the places, dates, and times:

This appeals to me. Would it be silly to drive like 5 hours for it?
Rhode Island looks good to me.
Oh good, at least one person! :)
Drat, none near here.
Seeing as how I can practically walk to the Chicago one, it’d be a crime for me not to go. :)
See you in Burlington, Joon. Want any help?
see you there! i expect it’ll be pretty simple to run with the help of the B&N staff, so just come and enjoy the festivities.
New York, NY, 150 East 86th Street — November 4, 2:00 PM — Greg Pliska
This one will be rescheduled to avoid a conflict with the New York City Marathon.
The Seattle event is now scheduled. November 18, 2:00 PM.
