Bill Conner’s USA Today crossword, “Right On!”—Dena’s review
This was a classic USAT theme, with the title unifying the three main entries: each is a 2-word phrase where both words end with ON (thereby being on the right side of each word = Right On!)
17a [Screen addiction, e.g.] – BOSTON MARATHON
23a [Where boxers trade jabs] – FASHION ICON
37a [Clever chap] – COMMON FRACTION
My favorite clues were 42A — because who doesn’t love a good ? clue? — and 46A for pointing me to a POEM I had never read before.
Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m assuming Bill Conner lives in Arizona and likes to play Clue. I love when bits of a constructor come through in their puzzle.
